Hines Ward on his walker transformation in ‘The Walking Dead’
Fans learned that Super Bowl champion Hines Ward will be making an appearance in “The Walking Dead” late last year. After the midseason finale though, it was revealed that Ward won’t be starring in the zombie apocalypse show until the second half of season three. On Monday, Jan. 28, The Evening Sun spoke with Ward about his experience on set.
“The show is so popular, and I thought it would be so cool, so I agreed.” Hines Ward tells the source. “And I had a blast doing it. It was an amazing experience.” Fans can check out a picture of the zombified, or ‘walkerfied’ if you prefer, star above.
“Just being in makeup preparing me for my role was cool. I actually scared myself when I looked in the mirror for the first time after,” Ward continued.
Ward is sure living every fans dream. The former Steeler receiver also had a cameo in “The Dark Knight Rises.” If you missed it, he’s the running football player that survives Bane’s attack in the stadium.
Fans are now wondering who will be the lucky prison mate, or perhaps Woodbury member, to kill Ward’s walker form.
“The Walking Dead” season 3 will return to AMC on February 10 with episode 9, “The Suicide King.”
